The first thing people always ask about wool is, 'Isn't it too warm?' The answer is no. Not at all. Wool allows moisture to evaporate and the skin to breathe. In particular, this cover is very light.

This wool fleece has only been shrunk with pure water to retain most of its natural lanolin to remain water-resistant and germicidal. A wet cover will recondition itself by hang drying it in the open air. Due to a constant evaporation the cover feels constantly damp while in use and will eventually leak faster than wraps made of coated plastic but this is what allows your child's skin is able to breathe.

This is not a cheap wrap, but you don't choose wool for economy! In fact, you may manage with only 2 sizes of cover and you don't need any more than for other cover types as you should only wash wool covers every 2-3 weeks.
